Help Chelsea Regain Her Vehicle and Rebuild Her Life!!
Hello, my name is Chelsea. I am a 39-year-old single mother of 4 and a proud grandma of 1 beautiful granddaughter! I recently relocated back to Oregon after a 6-year severely abusive marriage. I was subjected to financial abuse, sexual exploitation from my spouse, and severe psychological & emotional abuse. I ended up in the ICU last November with severe internal bleeding and had to have emergency surgery. I reached out with the help of the hospital staff to my 2 adult children who resided here in Oregon, explained the situation, and they immediately made the 9-hour drive down to California to ensure after I was released from medical care I would not have to return to my husband and undergo any more abuse! ♡

During the last year, I've been reunited with my older children, reaching out to local community agencies for help with trauma healing and rebuilding myself and my life from my severe domestic abuse.

Due to financial hardships and lack of local housing opportunities, I had been sleeping in my vehicle for the last 3 months. Yet my vehicle was impounded 2 weeks ago due to expired registration.

In light of the pressing situation I'm faced with, I simply cannot afford the amount the tow company is demanding! I have attempted to seek financial assistance through loan companies, yet due to my lack of documented employment during the span of my marriage, I have been turned down time and time again! The hardship fund only covers $300, which is not even a fraction of what the company is demanding for retrieving my vehicle. I have secured employment and now do not have reliable transportation to secure my position at my job! So I'm reaching out to my community, to unite in support of this critical cause. There are not many options for things that are crucial for survivors to obtain sustainability. As I progress in this process of recovery, I'm on the brink of a transformative journey towards healing and self-sufficiency. I decided to secure safe housing through a residential recovery program. My intake is set for December 4th, and thankfully my employer has agreed to allow me to settle into my new living arrangements and begin working within 30 days of my entry! However, the retrieval of my vehicle, which is currently held in a local tow yard, is essential for securing stable employment and achieving ongoing sustainability.

The accumulating storage fees, now exceeding $2500.00, pose a significant barrier that threatens to derail my recovery progress. The situation is a no-win for me as I was informed if I'm unable to retrieve my vehicle, they will sell it at auction and send me to collections for the amount unpaid! I do not want to be pushed 4 steps backward after making so much positive progress. I believe that together, as a concerned and compassionate community, you can make a huge difference by helping one person at a time! I am calling on local businesses, organizations, and compassionate community members to contribute ANY amount you can to help cover these costs. PLEASE

Every dollar counts and absolutely will help pave the way for a brighter future and the ongoing success of my recovery!

Additionally, I'm encouraging everyone to spread the word—share this message with friends, family, and social media networks. Your voice can amplify this call for action and help me reach those who also may be willing to help.

Let’s come together to support a local survivor in need. Together, we can transform lives and foster a community of resilience and hope.

I thank you in advance for your compassion & contribution! If your unable to financially contribute, please share on your social media platforms, foward the compaign to resorce agencys your aware of or charities that focus on helping survivors of domestic abuse! PLEASE DONATE EVERY DOLLAR HELPS! - SHARE -SHARE -SHARE!! ❤️
