Help Chelsea Repair Her Flood-Damaged Car
Donation protected
My name is Chelsea Selph, and on Wednesday, November 6th, my car was flooded. I am a 23-year-old art education major, set to graduate in May. Unfortunately, I only had liability coverage on my vehicle. While hurricanes are common in South Georgia, I was not prepared for the flash flood that occurred that night and caused significant damage to my Honda Civic.
Having a reliable mode of transportation is crucial for me to continue attending college and commuting to work to help finance my education. I took my car in for inspection and received a repair estimate of approximately $7,000. Since this is a newer car, I would like to repair it so I can keep driving it and work towards my goal of becoming an elementary school art teacher.
I have attached pictures of the car's damage and have listed the issues below:
- YAW rate sensor
- SRS failure
- EVAP failure
- Belt tensioner codes
- Floor harness issues
- EVAP canister damage
- CVS valve malfunction
- FTP sensor problems
- Entire car's carpet and seats need replacement
- SRS not operational (airbags)
Thank you for your consideration! All funds received will be going straight to my car repair and in turn, helping me graduate!
