Help Chelsea Russin & Family after Tragic Loss

Donation protected
Dear Compassionate Friends & Supporters,

Chelsea Russin and her family desperately need our help. On September 5th, their lives were turned upside down when their older-model mobile home in Richmond, Vermont, was destroyed by a devastating fire. Chelsea, her 8-year-old daughter, 15-year-old son, and mother lost EVERYTHING, including their beloved cat and guinea pig.

As a co-worker of Chelsea's at Panera Bread in South Burlington, I've witnessed Chelsea's incredible work ethic and unwavering dedication to her family. Despite the immense challenges she faces, she gives her all to provide for her children and her mother. Chelsea is truly a shining example of strength and resilience. Now it is our turn to support her and her family in their time of great need.

I set up this GoFundMe campaign Sept. 7 with a modest goal of $5,000, just to give Chelsea something to start off with. Within a short time, your generous contributions surpassed that goal (thank you!!). But Chelsea and her family still have a long way to go to rebuild their lives. As I write this today, on Sept. 18, they already have moved three times and still lack a permanent home. So today I am raising the goal to $8,000 -- still a modest amount, but one with your continued help that can take them so much further.

Chelsea inspires me every day with her commitment to her family and to her work here at Panera, even as she faces so much adversity. Please join me and my co-workers at Panera in helping her and her family recover from this tragedy. Please be as generous as you can. Every dollar counts, and no amount is too small.

Here's how your donation will make a difference:
  • Housing: The immediate priority is to secure a safe and stable place for the Russin family to live. Your donations will help cover the costs of temporary housing and eventually help them find a permanent residence.

  • Basic Necessities: Chelsea's family lost all their possessions, from clothing to toiletries to kitchenware. Your support will ensure they have the essentials to start rebuilding their lives.

  • Emotional Support: Losing their beloved pets and all their possessions has taken an emotional toll on the family, especially the children. Funds raised will also go toward counseling and support services to help them cope with their loss and trauma.

  • Education and Well-Being: Your contributions will replace essential educational materials and resources that Chelsea's children lost in the fire and need in order to thrive.

Chelsea is an incredible young woman who has faced adversity with grace and strength, and now she needs our help to get back on her feet. Please share this campaign with your friends and family, and spread the word on social media. Together we can make a significant difference in their lives and give them the hope and support they need to rebuild after this devastating loss.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and generosity. Let's show Chelsea and her family that we are with them in their journey to a new beginning!

With heartfelt gratitude,
