Help Chelsey and Her Family Through This Battle

Update from Garrett Everetts

Chelsey's liver biopsy results came back yesterday and the doctors are saying the cancer is in her liver. Her oncologist has then made the decision to no longer treat Chelsey as they believe she can no longer tolerate it. My heart is broken. After just getting good news a few weeks ago that this treatment was working and now they are sending her home on hospice. Sadly I know that there are many others out there with similar experiences. We are home trying to keep her comfortable and we are holding onto hope. Keeping our faith in the Father. Asking Him to move this mountain. Thank you all for your prayers. We need them now more than ever. Chelsey is the most beautiful soul inside and out that you will ever meet. She has persevered through one trial and hardship after another. Now it's our turn to help ease some of the burden of her continuing battle against this cancer that she has been fighting for over 2 years now. It has spread to her spine, ribs, legs, shoulders, forearms and bone marrow and has left her needing a wheelchair on top of losing the ability to work and needing round the clock care. She has had surgery after surgery and so much chemo, medications, and pain. It's more than anyone should have to endure.

Her amazing fiancé Garrett has been holding down the fort, caring for Chelsey, working and being Chelseys advocate. He has been off work for a month now caring for Chelsey full time as Chelsey cannot be alone and he has used up all his PTO and savings. It is not a fast process to get a home health aide and they are hoping to get that approved soon.

She is a mama to 4 amazing kids and she is continuously fighting to get to see them grow up and be there for every milestone big and small. The little things we often take for granted are each one precious gifts that she is so grateful to get to experience.

The biggest need right now is a reliable vehicle that can fit their family of 6 plus a wheelchair. The current economy is hard on everyone but add in the full time care needed, not being able to work, having to rely on one income and then needing to be off work to care for your sick partner and that is enough to be absolutely drowning.
