Help Cheryl Medical bills for surgery

Hi, my name is Cheryl, I need help with a lap band removal due to band slippage & daily vomiting.

10 yrs. ago I didn't know any better and did a lap band surgery, it never worked, the doctor put the wrong size device and I had to live with it in fear of more surgeries. After multiple times going to him with complains of vomiting and pain in my side on and off for past 7 years, he never helped me with fixing it or removing it, he just took all the fluid out of it.

My life with this thing has been hard, I vomit maybe 1-2 times a day, I can't even go into a Restaurante or any place without scouting a restroom. The vomit is not food it's this really thick mucus that gets trapped above the band and can't pull food down, recently I have had more tests done endoscopic and nuclear, the band is slipped, it actually moves up and down onto my esophagus and back onto my stomach which now explains why I vomit, the doctor said when he put the scope in me it royally moved that he recommends removing it before it does damage to the esophagus or causes an erosion. So far, no erosion so I'm lucky.

My insurance refuses to pay for any bariatric surgery or any elective surgery unless life threatening then go to emergency room, they will pay but that risk is also death, so they rather see me possibly die then pay.

The doctor's fee, Dr. Jawd, will remove this band is $17,000 to 23,000. I have the surgery scheduled for February 22, 2022. Please help me get this surgery so I can live my life without this nightmare.

I feel for those that got sucked into this surgery, back then they make it sound like you will prolong your life and feed on those that have weight issues. I don't usually ask for help for myself, i have done many fundraisers for many people over the years but I really need the help now and hope this works out.
