Help Chester Wilson Jr. defeat Cancer.

Dear Friends, Family, and Loved ones,

 

Chester Wilson Jr, a pillar of our community, Disciple of Christ, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and one who has devoted his life to blessing others now needs your help. In October of 2021, our father, brother and friend, Chester Wilson Jr. was diagnosed with AML, which is Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is an aggressive, rapidly-progressing cancer in which the immature blood cells do not develop properly and grow uncontrollably.

Since his diagnosis, he along with the assistance of his wife, Rose M. Wilson, has been traveling and staying in Charleston, SC where he has been receiving care from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). AML chemotherapy usually starts with 1 week of intense treatment, however, the Doctors decided that they needed to go in with a more aggressive treatment and give him several rounds of 10-day treatment sessions every 3 weeks, with the cycle repeating three or four times. To say the least, he has been through a world wind of physical, mental, economical, and psychological fluctuations.

He is first and foremost a man of Faith, and have not stopped looking to God for all his health and strength while still attempting to be strong for his family. He has since been allowed to return home prior to entering the next critical stage of treatment which is undergoing a potential lifesaving bone marrow transplant. During the transplant stage, he along with Mrs. Wilson his primary care taker, will be required to reside in Charleston for 3-4 months until completion. This will come at a substantial cost considering the cost of hotel, subsistence, transportation costs, and shared cost of medication!
