Help Chicago 8th Graders Explore New York City
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Darcy, and I am an educator in Chicago. I am reaching out for support to help a few of my amazing 8th-grade students attend our class trip to New York City. These students, who come from an economically disadvantaged inner-city community, have worked so hard the last few years and truly deserve this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. These kids were with me during covid and I made a pledge to them that if they worked hard and continued to be successful in school, I would help make the class trip a reality.
The trip is more than just a vacation—it's a chance for these students to broaden their horizons, experience new cultures, and explore iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and the 9/11 Memorial. These experiences will inspire them, create lifelong memories, and show them a world of possibilities beyond their day-to-day lives.
The students are actively fundraising and doing their part to contribute, but they still need additional support to make this dream a reality. Your donation, no matter the amount, will help cover travel, lodging, and other trip expenses for these hardworking students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend.
Thank you for helping make this experience possible for these deserving students. Every little bit brings us closer to New York!
