Donald “Chip” Powell Hospice Care & Funeral Expenses

My name is Donna Sanders Powell. Donald “Chip” Powell is my loving husband. He is a wonderful stepdad uncle and pawpaw. In the past 4 years Chips has battled losing his leg after 3 surgeries. All came from being a diabetic for over 4O years. Chip lost the one job that meant the world to him. That was driving his 18 wheeler across country. Chip has now fallen extremely ill due to advanced liver disease. This diagnosis has had a profound impact on his life. causing severe organ dysfunction and challenging side effects. This had require frequent and critical hospital treatments. Nothing has worked,It is too late for a transplant.

Chip has always been the person who makes sure everyone else has what they need before himself. He loves animals and would take in any animal that needed a home.

I want to spend this time navigating the challenges of hospice care in a way that allows us to spend as much time as possible with him. Also to make sure he is comfortable and not in any pain. The funds donated here will be used for medical supplies for my husband and any other expenses that arise due to his care. We also will use any of these funds for his funeral once Chip passes. I can’t afford to plan a funeral if something were to happen. Chip has been fighting for an incredibly long time and has been extremely strong, and he deserves to live in comfort for however long he has left.
