Chlo'ee's Next Steps

Donation protected

Chlo'ee Williams is a 2nd grader at Noble Minds Institute in New Orleans.  She loves to practice her spelling words, master ALL the Tic-Tok dances and is a champ at building entire Lego cities.

On November 24, 2020, Chlo'ee was shot while she was outside working on her latest painting in the driveway. The bullet hit her chin, went through her throat and exited out her back. After two procedures, multiple stitches, and being airlifted from University Medical Center to Children's Hospital, we are so grateful that she is alive today. The first responders, nurses and doctors were an incredible team that made it possible.

Even though she is on a ventilator while her windpipe heals,  we expect that she will be able to breathe on her own soon. Chlo'ee also suffered severe damage to her spinal cord and several sections of her spine and has a long road ahead with potential mobility challenges. She will be in the ICU for at least a couple of weeks before she is able to be moved to a regular hospital room. When she is discharged, she will likely need significant physical, occupational and mental health therapy.

Your donations will help offset medical bills, rent and living expenses (while her mother is in the hospital with her),  physical therapy, medical equipment, any home or transportation accommodations while she heals, and general living expenses. Anything helps and is so appreciated!!

Thank you all for all the help and support, prayers and love!

Want to send some love and encouragement? Cards/letters can be mailed or dropped off to Trinity Community Center (Monday-Friday, 10 AM-6 PM).
