Help Chloe Beat Stage 4 Anaplastic Wilms Cancer

Chloe began having food poison-type symptoms that led her parents to take her to UVA University Hospital ER on February 21st. They performed an ultrasound to eliminate appendicitis as the cause. On the ultrasound, they saw a kidney tumor the size of a baseball and a softball side by side. The surgeons successfully performed a very delicate 10 hour surgery to remove her right kidney and tumor. Pathology reports came back as stage 4 anaplastic Wilms cancer which is the more aggressive of the two types of Wilms cancer. She has a small nodule on her lung. Chloe, who is 3 years old, is facing 52 weeks of aggressive chemo and radiation and will spend 2-3 months in the hospital. St. Jude was chosen for their second opinion and they concurred with UVA's diagnosis and treatment. However, they were not an option for treatment. The doctor has estimated the cost of the treatment at $1,000,000. Chloe's coverage is capped at $250,000. Her parents are working with the hospital to attempt to receive all possible reductions and write-offs. Also, the doctor has stressed that the non-hospital expenses such as travel, extensive special diet changes, lost wages and many other factors will add up to a huge financial burden.
