Help Chloe recover from her father's passing

My friend Chloe recently made the difficult task of saying goodbye to her father Ronnie. On July 13th, she got word that Ronnie's health had taken an unexpected decline and he was being put on palliative care -- a few days later she made the trip to Blanchard, Oklahoma to see her dad for the last time. On July 27th, 2023 Ronnie passed away from a long battle with lymphoma surrounded by his family.

According to Chloe, Ronnie was the sweetest human in the world with the best hugs, and she completely adored her dad. She also credits him for making her feel loved, special, and important. Losing him has been extremely hard on her. Chloe had decided against the idea of creating a GoFundMe while Ronnie was still in palliative care to avoid worrying him. Now she needs our help.

Chloe is a full-time student at UC Berkeley, majoring in classical studies, and is currently in an accelerated summer session -- traveling on short notice has put a major strain on her finances. She plans to apply for a cost-of-living increase for a larger loan through her university, which will take effect no sooner than September. She needs to focus on mourning her father and completing her degree.

Ronnie’s memorial will be held on August 19th at his mother’s house in Oklahoma. Chloe plans to make the trip if funds will allow. Fall semester at UC Berkeley starts on August 23rd.
