Help Chris (Chigbo) Adili Family!

Hi, my name is Charles Popick, and I am fundraising for my dear friend, Chris (Chigbo) Adili's funeral and education fund for his 3-year-old son, Charles. Yes, I am his son's God Father and was honored by having his son named after me. He passed away from a pulmonary embolism last Sunday, February 19.

Chris and I met back in 1985 at UC Santa Barbara, and we immediately became good friends and roommates. He arrived at UCSB as an international student from Nigeria studying Business Economics, Our family celebrated holidays together, became close with our children and accepted the role of an uncle until he finally started his own family 8 years ago by marrying his wife Vicky. His sudden passing is leaving his wife, Vicky and a 3-year-old son, Charles behind. He had exhausted his savings recently battling a long Covid since 2021. I hope to raise money for his funeral costs and to provide any remainder to Charles for his education.

He was a very good person with a big heart, who always helped others wherever needed. His loss leaves a big void in this world, and I will miss his big smile!
