Help Chris & Chris become dads

Donation protected
Hi my name is Stacey, thank you for visiting my Go Fund Me page.

Most of you will know them as Chris and Chris, some of you as Chris and Gordy, or you might not even know them at all. They are just your average northsiders with big plans to become dads! So the story goes, on their very first date, along with chats about Taylor Swift, hobby farms and cats they also spoke about how much they both really wanted to have children and who would be the stay at home dad!

Fast forward 7 years later, they are married, have two cats, a worm farm, and a large group of friends across the country. I think we’re all very lucky to have Chris and Chris in our lives and I know they consider a lot of their close friends as family.
The only thing we know they feel that's missing from their lives is a baby.

So far in their journey they have been extremely fortunate to have found both an egg donor and a surrogate. I know they are so thankful to go on this journey with such special people.

This has been a very lengthy process so far, and there is certainly still a long way to go. While they would feel like they are on an upward trajectory having found some special people to assist them, we know this really is just the beginning for them.

Unfortunately, the entire process comes at a significant cost. Medicare provides rebates for assisted reproductive services for infertile couples using IVF. Assisted reproduction services (or IVF) for the purpose of surrogacy, however, regardless of your sexual orientation, is sadly not covered by Medicare.

So you can understand it a little further, the steps and the costs involved before Chris and Chris can welcome a bundle of joy into the world are outlined below.

Initial consultation with IVF doctor ($600)
Surrogate and Donor consultations ($700)
Register with IVF clinic (free)
Counseling sessions ($2630)
Legal advice ($4000)
Subsequent consultation with IVF doctor ($600)
Psychological Testing ($1200)
Patient Review Panel ($750)
Blood tests and scans ($2000)
IVF cycle ($15200)
Quarantine of embryo ($215)
Single embryo transfer ($4400)
Travel costs ($3000)
Pregnancy and antenatal care ($10000)
Transfer of Parentage ($3000)

As you can see, this will all add up very quickly, and like many intended parents trying to have a family, there is a real possibility this might not work for them on the first try, or at all.

They are saving as much as they can to pay for consultations, tests and treatments that will be required but we want to do everything we can to help them have the best possible chance at starting a family. There is a very real likelihood they will need to undergo multiple IVF cycles.

Being so close to Chris and Chris we know that it is very difficult for both of them to admit that they need help to achieve this.

I would be so appreciative if you could donate to their cause. If this is not something you can do, I am thankful that you’re supporting them just by being there for them. I would be thrilled if you could share this among your family and friends. You never know who may see this and be willing to assist the boys in creating their family!

Thank you again so much XoX
