Help Chris Clack with his double transplant

If you know Chris Clack then you know his presences comes with a good laugh, joke, funny story, a recommendation of good food and a loyalty to the Steelers! He is a father, husband and veteran but beneath that lies extensive medical issues that has been affecting him for the last 27 years.

Throughout the last 27 years Chris has struggled with serious lung issues that has affected other areas of his health as well. His last battle with Covid affected his lungs in such a way that it also caused serious damage to his kidneys resulting in him needing to have a double transplant on both his lungs and kidneys as soon as possible. Without this double transplant the doctors have estimated that his life expectancy would be approximately another 5 years.

Chris is fighting to extend his life for himself and his family but also to hopefully have a better quality of life as well. This will require him to go to NYU Langone Hospital in NYC to have the double transplant and remain in the hospital for about 6-8 weeks. NYU has no financial assistance or resources to help with these expenses. After the double transplant it is required that Chris stay within an hour of the hospital for the next 3 months for weekly tests and check ups.

Chris needs all the prayers and emotional support our community can offer but most importantly he needs the support of his wife Stephanie. To be able to have this double transplant it is required that Chris has someone with him the entire time when he leaves the hospital. The hospital does not offer any kind of home care services or aide to accommodate this. Stephanie will need to miss a lot of work to be able to be there for Chris. These donations will help to cover housing costs so that Stephanie can be close by and easily get to the hospital when needed (ranges from $1500-2000/monthly). It will also help with transportation costs such as gas, parking ($60 a day) and food. Chris and Stephanie also have a daughter and son to care for as well.
