Help Chris Fleming Battle Cancer (MDS - AML Leukemia)
Donation protected
As many may be aware, our dear friend Chris Fleming has been battling health issues over recent years. As of late, doctors have been looking at an autoimmune disorder as the root cause of his fatigue and neurological pain, but a recent bone marrow biopsy in June has confirmed (RAEB-1) a frequent severe subtype of myelodysplastic syndrome.
Note: The Cancer evolved. On August 21st a second diagnosis from another bone marrow biopsy now showed aggressive blood cancer, as the MDS evolved into Leukemia and spread to 70%+ of his bone marrow, warranting emergency admission to Northwestern on August 23rd to stop the spread from taking over completely in 1-2 weeks.
Chris remains positive as he faces this devastating condition. Unfortunately, Chris's bone marrow is not working so he is severely immuno-compromised and is unable to work for the next year and had to cancel all appointments in his counseling business and lectures and appearances he worked so hard to put together. He is under the care of many doctors, including an oncologist at Northwestern, and will post updates on his health as he travels this unfamiliar road.
Prayers and good thoughts are very welcome.
Let's support Chris by helping him to meet his basic expenses as he starts his medical journey.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
With gratitude,
Susan
