Help Chris Garcia and Family Recover After the Eaton Fire

Hello Friends,

I'm Nazanin Naraghi and I live in Highland Park, CA and I’m reaching out today to ask for your support for a family that means the world to me—Chris Garcia, Val, their adorable 3-year-old daughter Sunny, two loving senior parents, and their two sweet dogs, Holly and Lucy, and cats Minnie and Boo. Their family has been displaced by the Eaton Canyon Fire. Chris and Val help support Val’s retired parents who recently relocated to Altadena from Iowa. They are very lucky that their home survived (one of only a handful on the block), but they have no sense of when they will be able to return or if anything will be salvageable. They were able to take very little with them in the chaos of evacuation.

Chris and his family find themselves displaced from not only their home in Altadena—a place they have cherished and nurtured for years—but their community, friends, daycare, daily dog walk, favorite playgrounds, and coffee shops... all the things that help make a life livable.
