Help Chris Jenkins road to recovery

Donation protected
On August 31 my dear friend and brother in law, Chris Jenkins, suffered an Ischemic stroke (clot) in the thalamus of his brain.  Luckily, my sister, Kim, got him to the ER quickly and they were able to give him the clot busting meds to stop the damage.  Nonetheless, he has a long road back to normal that will include weeks in a rehab facility to get his body working again.

Chris has been a mentor, a collaborator, cheerleader and protector to many.  He is always there to lend a hand and will drop anything to help out his friends and family. Chris and Kim share a house with Chris’s kids Oliver and Owen and Kim’s daughter Reese and a whole zoo of animals.  Chris is the main income provider for the family and with him having to refocus his energy from creating movies to regaining his health money is going to be tight and insurance is not going to cover all of the expenses that are going to be adding up.

In his 30 years of working in the animation business he has been a part of the team that brought to the world so many movies that people love including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King, Pocahontas, The Hunchback and Notre Dame and Atlantis at Disney and Open Season and Surfs Up at Sony.  He also wrote and directed the 2018 Netflix hit Duck Duck Goose.   In the last couple of years Chris has been writing scripts for various companies and recently has been building a new production company to create environmental animated movies.  He has always been a part of a team.   A team that made us smile and forget about our worries for awhile as we sat in the theater.

Now we can all be a part of Team Chris.  So he doesn’t have to aworry about what he should be doing and instead concentrate on healing.  All monies will go to offset his medical expenses and keep his family afloat.
