Help Chris with a New Beginning!

There is nothing like a man’s love for his family.

Life can sometimes be tough but with great choices and sacrifices comes big wins. Chris Elder is a family friend. Having had a few hurdles in life, getting back on his own two feet and creating a life that supports his children and their mother is at the heart of everything Chris Elder does. In January 2022, Chris will leave his parents home in CO and fly to where his children are living. He is applying for jobs online now but is going to be with his kids and be a strong co-parent to their Mom.

He is getting on a plane and is headed into unknown territory. He doesn’t have a place to live, a job or the means to support himself yet. My heart is to give him a fighting chance. Everything helps. Chris has battled with addiction but we’ve talked about staying sober and doing the right things for his kids. I know he can do it. He is committed to a brand new beginning! Please find it in your heart to give as graciously as you can but know that every dollar counts. I will be staying in touch with him, praying for him and encouraging him to always take the higher road even when life is hard. We all know it can be. I am positive that the life of Chris Elder will be a legacy of being an amazing man, Dad, mentor and leader for his kids. I see him becoming a great leader to others who have struggled too. His parents and family love him, but sometimes we need someone else to speak life into us. Let’s show Chris our love by opening our hearts, prayers and wallets to him.

I would also like to suggest we build him a community of loving, Christ-centered followers who can represent the goodness of humanity in his life. Having had a daughter who struggled with addiction, I know how hard it is to be the Mom of someone who is choosing things we would never choose for them. I also know it took others, outside of myself, to help her be clean. My heart is for Chris. My prayers are for Chris.
