Christopher (Chris) Wright - Update June 28th, 2024

July 2, 2024 (Tuesday)

Dear Friends,

We are all devastated by the loss of Chris last week. He was such a wonderful friend who touched the lives of those around him. I will miss him dearly.

Today I'm sorry to let those who may not know that Chris Wright has passed away surrounded by those who loved him. As Della has written on her FB page, "As we come to terms with his absence, may we find comfort in our memories and strength in our love for him."

Sunday, June 16th, 2024

Today is Father's Day and Chris is back in the hospital fighting for his life. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread throughout his body, causing so much pain. Della is by his side day and night.

Chris has recently been blindsided with a Pancreatic Cancer diagnosis.

01/03/2024

Hi Everyone,

Chris is at his first chemotherapy treatment today. He is a bundle of nerves and had very little sleep last night, not knowing how these 2x per-month treatments will go.

Unfortunately, Della will need to go back to work starting Friday, but she has family coming in to help out with Chris and the Kids.

12/13/2023, Chris will undergo extensive "Whipple" surgery.

Chris' wife, Della is a school teacher for special needs children. Chris and Della will be challenged financially if she takes time off work to be with Chris.

12/15 -Update

Chris had surgery on 12/13 and the prognosis is stage 4 pancreatic cancer. They decided not to proceed with the Whipple procedure.

We all hoped that there would be better news to tell Chris' friends and co-workers.

Now this Go Fund Me is really important to Chris, Della and their families.

12/23 - Update

Hi All,

Thanks to those of you who have contributed to Chris' Go FundMe page. It is really helping Chris' spirit to see all the outpouring of love and donations. He is home now with his family, taking some good drugs, and healing from his surgery.

12/31 - Update

Hi All,

Chris is enjoying the Holidays and continues to heal from surgery. Starting in the New Year, Chris will start Chemo at $8K out-of-pocket per month. These donations are going to help pay for treatments and it gives them some financial relief.
