Help Chrisel beat cancer.

Our niece, Chrisel, in the Philippines needs your help. This is from Eddie’s sister:
Hello. I am Olivia Galeno and I am starting this fundraiser for my 41-year-old daughter, Chrisel Desuasido.
Chrisel is a thoughtful daughter, supportive sister, devoted wife, and caring mother to three loving children. She is also an active member of Cancer Warriors Philippines, an organization that helps provide aid to cancer survivors.
Back in 2020, at the height of the pandemic, we found out that Chrisel had developed colon cancer. After going through surgery and struggling for months to finish her chemotherapy cycles, we thought that she was on her way to being cancer-free. So for the past two years, she spent her time recovering, bonding with her family, and continuing her advocacies.
Unfortunately, symptoms returned late last year and she was once again hospitalized—this time due to ovarian cancer. Not only that, but there were also tumors found in her lungs, and her kidneys and ureters have been compromised as well. And worst of all, after many, many tests, we found out that her cancer is already at a late Stage 4. Without treatment, her survival rate is estimated to be no longer than a few months at most.
We, her family and her friends, are doing our best to find ways to support her treatment. But given the severity of her condition, the urgency and scale of the care she needs, and the lack of proper insurance coverage in the country, the expenses are starting to mount beyond what we can manage.
Which is why we are asking for your help. Any amount donated will be greatly appreciated, and the funds raised will be used for Chrisel’s hospital bills, treatment costs, and cancer medication.
Chrisel still has not lost her fighting spirit—there are still a lot of things she wants to do, places to see, stories to tell through her art, and most importantly, milestones in her kids’ lives that she still wants to be part of. Please help us give her the gift of extending her time in the world, so she can also give back when she finally has her life back.
Thank you.
