Help Christa Recover From Surgery
Donation protected
Dear darling friends and community,
I never imagined I’d be in a position like this where I’m asking for help, but here I am. I’ve spent years learning about mutual aid—the idea that giving and receiving support are equally important. Unfortunately, I now find myself needing that support.
I’m facing multiple health challenges, including a severe case of endometriosis and a heart condition, both of which have been very painful and affecting my life for a while and now require surgery. Due to these conditions, I’ve temporarily lost my income and am not eligible for unemployment. I need help covering living expenses during my recovery. ❤️
I will sadly need to rent my sweet South Austin bungalow out while I get my financial situation in order, but this would be starting in May or June. Being able to afford to stay home in the meantime and heal would mean so much to me.
The Ask:
To stay in my home while I recover, I need to raise at least $5,000 to cover April’s mortgage and living expenses. Staying in my home would offer me the stability I need to heal.
If I can raise $15,000, that will allow me more time to heal and get back on my feet. These funds will cover my mortgage, essential bills, groceries, insurance, loan minimums, medical bills, and finding a cheaper place to live.
if by some miracle I raise more than I need, I will redistribute the surplus directly to those who also need help. ❤️
How You Can Help:
1. Donate to this GoFundMe: Any amount will make a difference in helping me get the care I need!!
2. Venmo: You can also donate via Venmo @christamarieclark
3. Shop: I’m selling handmade quilt jackets, vintage items, and more whimsical shit (will post via Instagram @aintwasted)
4. Share: Spreading the word helps me reach more people who may want to help.
5. Post-Surgery Support: If you're local, helping with meals, errands, or walking my dog Hedy during recovery would mean so much. Sign up on MealTrain.
I’m incredibly grateful for this community, and I know we can continue to support each other through hard times. Thank you for your care and generosity—I’m deeply thankful for each and every one of you.
With so much love,
Christa Marie
