Help Christian as He Battles Cancer
Donation protected
Christian Joseph Amendola, CJ to many of his friends and family, has been diagnosed with late-stage lymphoma and cancer of the intestines. On November 7th, he spent his 24th birthday in the hospital in Orange, CA undergoing aggressive chemotherapy. Due to his last day-long treatment for the cancer, he was rushed into a 4-hour emergency surgery to repair severe damage to his intestinal walls. There was leaking from holes made from the quickly dissolving tumors that had found a home attached to his tissue. This is said to be one of the most excruciating surgeries to endure. This young man is going through the worst that one can imagine. He is now trying to heal from the surgery only to begin more chemo as soon as possible. His journey is just beginning.
The pain and life changing course he is going through is a testimony to Christians fight and endurance. I have watched him writhe in pain only to turn and weakly say to everyone the room, I am sorry for being so loud. This guy is a young, elegant warrior in a fight for his life.
Christian has many friends from Saint Anastasia School as a kid and Pacifica Christian High School in Santa Monica. He has had friends come to visit him in the hospital from San Luis Obispo, where he graduated Cal Poly there with scholarship with a political science degree and prelaw. He has been working at Trader Joes for several years transferring from the Traders in SLO, then after graduation, back to Irvine. He was working towards attending law school next year. Starting with a lump on his neck, to now, all of his plans and hard work has been greatly altered.
Christian has always been an outstanding athlete, student, friend, son, brother, and uncle. He needs our help. He cannot work and is so worried that he is getting behind in his medical financial obligations. Having some monetary help will bless him not only financially but give him the security and peace of mind to devote to his healing. We all know what that kind of pressure can do to stress levels. He needs all his will and strength to go to his healing.
Anything you all can do for him now would be a blessing for him and his family. His mom, Merri, is not able to work full time to be with Christian. She is living a mothers worst fear, but she is trusting in the Lord! All prayers are appreciated for Christian and his family. God bless all of you sending gifts of love.
