This week, tragedy struck our family.

Christie and Chris, two of the most loving and selfless people you could ever meet, lost their home to the devastating fires and high winds that swept through Pacific Palisades, California.

Their condominium complex, a place they’ve called home for so many years, was ravaged by flames. While they were able to miraculously recover a few cherished family heirlooms and photos, the structure itself is no longer inhabitable and their sense of stability has been stripped away in an instant. 

For those who know Christie, she is a beacon of love and generosity. As a chaplain at a children’s hospital and an ordained deacon, she has dedicated her life to helping others, offering comfort and hope to countless people in their darkest moments, always putting others first. Chris is the embodiment of joy and kindness. He is always the first to lend a hand, ensuring everyone else is okay before ever thinking of himself. But now, they need us.
