Help Christina with Cancer and Fertility Expenses

Just as most of us spend our daily lives, Christina was busy working, making home improvements and talking about saving up for a wedding next year.  Then, in a single moment everything changed and she was diagnosed with stage II breast cancer.  The doctor has said it is an aggressive, rapidly advancing form of cancer.  Christina will need to start Chemo as soon as possible to stop the growth before any surgery can be done.  She will need to follow up with more Chemo treatments after the surgery.  Because the Chemotherapy causes infertility, and  there is a rush to start, there is a very small window of opportunity for fertility treatment, but it is there.  The fertility doctor is already working with Christina to get everything done in time.  Christina and Mike have decided not to wait to get married and will have a small backyard wedding early next month.


Christina was also in school to get her PhD and had to take an Incomplete as she rearranges her life to tackle this illness.  Things are moving fast and there are so many people asking what they can do to help.  One thing that will make a big impact on alleviating stress in the months to come and be a tremendous help to both Mike and Christina is financial assistance with medical bills and fertility treatment.  The smallest amount could be the greatest gift and the appreciation and heartfelt gratitude is everlasting.  Thank you for being a part of helping Christina fight this battle.  For her to have something as positive as fertility treatment to look forward to is invaluable during this time and for us to be able to help her with that is pretty special too. 


For those of you who don't know Christina, she is my niece, Bonita's daughter and the first born grandchild.  From the time she was a toddler, she was already so smart, funny, independent and STRONG.
