Help Christina Mican's Family with Funeral Costs

With a heavy heart and deep sadness, I am creating this to let people know that we have lost our beautiful mother/wife, Christina I. Mican, at age 55 to colon cancer on 11/11/24. She found out 8 years ago she had stage 4 colon cancer and was given a life expectancy of 3 years, but true to who she was, she fought like a warrior and never gave up. Going through 95 chemo treatments and surgery after surgery, which allowed her to expand her time with us for 5 more years. We knew her time was limited with us, but seeing her fight to keep going made it feel like she would never leave. So, after her last surgery, it took my stepdad and myself by surprise when she requested to go into hospice at home rather than continue on and try something else that was just prolonging her suffering. She was kind, loving, brave, courageous, sassy, strong-willed, and truly just an inspiration. She had met so many people and touched so many people with her unwavering kindness and positivity. I don't think there was a person my mom met that she couldn't make smile, and when she loved, it was unconditionally. The support from family and friends for my mother was overwhelming. She was an amazing woman who will be missed by many, but especially by Nichole (her daughter), her son Matthew who is 14, her husband Mike, and her family and close friends.
She was called home way too early in her life. She would tell everyone that she wouldn't be leaving this earth until she saw her son graduate. She was a good person with a big heart. She was a stay-at-home mom due to the treatments, which laid all of the financial responsibilities on her husband, which he dutifully accepted. Her husband and kids could use the support of family, friends, and community to help cover the cost of the funeral and with Matthew, providing the support he will need to continue school as well as other necessities since Mike will now need to be home with him earlier in the day rather than working 7 am to 9 pm. We would greatly appreciate your help in supporting them. Thank you.
I was told letting our viewers see a breakdown of cost could help. I don't have the list with me and this being my first funeral but the headstone alone they wanted 11,000-18,000 for she currently does not have a marker on her grave, although we will be making one ourselves until we are able to give her the one she deserves.
Her obituary can be found on www.meyersfh.com under Christina I. Mican.
