Help Christina move into a safe home!

Christina is a close friend of my younger sister Shannon (right), and over the years has become very close with our family. She's a delightful, radiant person despite having faced some unimaginable hardship in her life.
At the beginning of the year, after being evicted from her apartment, she moved to a sibling's home in rural Washington, where several others lived. After only a few days, the situation deteriorated and quickly became abusive. The household was both mentally and physically unsafe, with confrontations between members of the household escalating into threats of violence.
In late February, after a particularly intense confrontation led her to feel that her life was in danger, Christina reached out to my partner and me for help. We drove to the home, and she's been staying with us ever since.
Christina is currently searching for work and a safe place to call home. We're rallying to raise enough money to cover a deposit and hopefully a few months of her rent so she can move into a safe home near friends and community. All funds will go directly to Christina.
Thank you SO so much for your support!
For a bit more background about Christina and her story, here's what my sister Shannon had to say:
I’ve known Christina for several years. When I first met her, I was enthralled by her magnetic and warm personality. For someone who stands so tall, I was shocked to find out she was in the middle of a trial. She was the only one of her siblings to testify against her monster of a human father. She endured years of horrific abuse from him and single-handedly put him in prison.
This wouldn’t be the last abuse she endured, alongside a near-death car accident in 2021. I was able to attend this trial and was in awe of her bravery and strength. I’ve never met someone who carries themselves so tall, yet had been through hell. We went on to be roommates from 2019-2022 and even shared a studio apartment during the lockdown. We also ran a coffee shop together during the pandemic and suffice to say- we got to know each other deeply.
Christina is someone who shines her light everywhere she goes. She’s always been an advocate for homeless people and those with PTSD/CPTSD. She’s spent years in therapy facing her trauma head-on, educating herself and striving to make the most of her one precious life.
For someone who’s fought the unfortunate hand she was dealt mainly on her own, she’s come to a crossroads where help is needed. I know it does not come easy for her to accept help, let alone ask for it. As cheesy as it may sound- the world would not be the same without her sparkle. I can’t wait to see all she accomplishes and I know it would bring her small group of loved ones immense joy to see her have the tools she needs to succeed. Thank you for taking the time to read this small part of her story.
