Here’s a question for you: How does a 52-year-old woman who cycles 30 miles every other day, and teaches her friends how to cook meals from scratch wind up in the hospital unable to walk? We’re wondering that ourselves. While answers elude us, we’re doing what we can to ensure that she again cycles and cooks and enjoys life with her family and friends.

Hi all, my name is Mike Keenan, I’ve started a GoFundMe campaign to help Christine Ferguson battle brain cancer. I have known Christine for over 20 years and she is a kind and caring soul.

Christine, her husband Ian, and their daughter Sasha are fighters. Learning of Christine’s cancer diagnosis this past December, sent the family into overdrive to find the best treatment for Christine. Indeed, Christine is being seen by exceptional doctors. She has received wonderful care. Still, the road ahead is deeply challenging, and the family has begun to explore alternative therapies, promising but prohibitively expensive as they aren’t covered by insurance.

The Fergusons bring joy to every person they meet and every occasion they enter. Christine is the driving force behind this remarkable family. Her larger-than-life persona lights up any room. Her meals are legendary and her enthusiasm for sharing her time and energy is inspiring. Christine’s greatest accomplishment is Sasha, a beautiful young woman, a rising high school senior, who mirrors her mother’s kindness, grace, intelligence, and humor. She will soon step into the world of adulthood, a world that will be that much richer, that much more purposeful with her mother by her side.
