Help Christine (Because We Love Her)
Donation protected
This week we learned that our dear friend Christine Holomego was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor. She is undergoing surgery immediately to correct the problem, and pending surgery, she will likely have a long and difficult recovery.
Prior to this week's discovery, Christine had already been injured in roller blading accident, breaking her leg, and her arm simultaneously. She was in casts, and awaiting rehabilitation when we learned of her current diagnosis. She will need physical rehab, in addition to any cognitive and neurological healing required to get back on the mend.
We all know Christine as a pillar in our Community, through her time working at the Griffen Pub. There will be a fundraising benefit on July 17th, additionally to raise money for her cause.
We are asking for donations from the Comox and Courtenay communities and any of the other Communities (Toronto, Vancouver, Canada, really...) whose lives have been touched by this amazing person.
Tyler, Kaia and Kalen thank you for your support- the outpouring and response from the community has been fantastic.
