Christine Lost Everything: Eaton Fire, Altadena, Let's Help

Dear Friends,

We are Liz and David Atherton. We live in Tujunga, CA, and are long-time friends of Christine Magdaleno since our kids went to school together, starting in elementary classes at Mountain View School in Tujunga. We've seen her move a few times, ultimately to her cute Altadena rental on E Palm Street, Altadena, CA 91001.

We live just outside the evacuation warning area of La Crescenta and have been helping her as best we could, but we need to reach out now to you all for help.

Christine has spent her life giving to others. As a dedicated caregiver, she has lovingly supported children, including our son, and the elderly throughout her career, embodying kindness, generosity, and selflessness.

Now, Christine needs our help. The devastating Eaton Fire in Altadena has taken her home and all she owned, leaving her with nothing but the clothes on her back. This tragic loss has turned her world upside down, and as she faces the difficult task of rebuilding her life, we have an opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much to others.

Christine is not one to ask for help, but we know the road ahead will be challenging. Donations will go toward providing her with essential clothing, and food, and some basic hygiene products. These are the immediate things she needs to begin rebuilding her life and her future. Christine will also be applying to FEMA for assistance that they deem her eligible for.

No contribution is too small, and every bit of support means the world to Christine. Whether it’s a donation, sharing this campaign, or sending her words of encouragement, your kindness will help her find hope and stability in this incredibly difficult time.
