Help Richard on his road to recovery

Hi my name is Emma I have started this gofundme page for my brother Richard who has had a history of heart disease since a young man, Back in 2010 aged just 35 he suffered his first heart attack.

In 2017 aged 42 he had another heart attack then in 2021 aged 46 he suffered another heart attack followed by a stroke whilst still in hospital.

In 2022 he was admitted to hospital suffering from sepsis that became life threatening, he recovered and went back to work as normal, Up until 4 Months ago in July 2024 when he suffered another heart attack whilst walking his dog. After arriving at hospital he was told that the only chance he had was a triple heart bypass as his heart was only working on one side & the other side had become too diseased, he was told that the hospital would be keeping him as an inpatient @ his local cardiac ward until a space on the bypass list became available at Basildon hospital (most likely a 7/8 week wait) during this time he would be unable to work. He has always worked full time & his company does not pay sick pay.

On the 9th of September this year he had a triple heart bypass thinking the worst was over & his family just being greatful he came through was short lived as on the 11th of September just 2 days after the bypass he suffered another major heart attack whilst in recovery at basildon.

After a week he was discharged home, In hopes of slowly recovering. During the first week at home he started to fall ill & was taken back to hospital, where he was informed he had an infection in his wound he had contracted a hospital acquired infection of E Coli and needed to be readmitted to hospital as the strain he had was antibiotic resistant. It's been a long drawn out process for him & he still can not go back to work. This week he has been told he will be looking at another operation in December 2024.

If you do know Richard then you will know his one of the most kind hearted people you could meet & quite often always being the first to help someone as he often has done. what with Christmas nearly upon us & every day bills to pay I was hoping that you will all help me in raising money for him & hopefully take some of the stress out of his life (at least for Christmas)

After everything he has been through & a possible operation still to come, he definitely deserves to be helped.
