Help Christopher LaBorde & Family Recover After Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
My name is Sarah Marshall and I am from Southern California. I am organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend Christopher LaBorde, a member of the Altadena and Santa Barbara community, who lost his home and all of its contents in the Eaton Fire on January 8th. Christopher and his family had only a few minutes to evacuate and grab a few essential items. The family lost everything, including their home, van, and belongings. The land around their property is charred.
Christopher is known as a caring, generous, and supportive person in every community he is a part of. He graduated recently from UC Santa Barbara where he was an active member of the Excursion Club. He continues to maintain a strong presence in Santa Barbara by participating in acro yoga jams, swing dancing, and musical jam nights. Christopher often split his time between living in Altadena, where his family's home is located, and making weekend trips up to Santa Barbara. Recently, he had been living more fulltime in Altadena with his family when the tragic fires occurred.
Christopher is known for his adventurous and positive spirit - having always taken on big climbing excursions, lengthy backpacking trips, charging big waves on his surfboard, and solo speardiving missions. Christopher and his family have a long, strenuous journey ahead of them as they put pieces together and move on from this devastating fire. A little support to get them through this time will go a long way.
Your donation will directly and immediately help Christopher and his family with:
- Supporting basic life expenses like paying bills
- Essential items like clothing and food
- Finding temporary and permanent housing
- Time and space to gain stability
Your donation will be greatly appreciated by the LaBorde family.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
With gratitude,
Sarah
