Help Christopher Melancon's Family in Tragedy

Christopher Ryan Melancon, 40, suddenly and tragically passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2024, after being struck in a hit and run accident in the late evening hours of Friday, October 11, 2024, or the early morning hours of Saturday, October 12, 2024.

Christopher was the victim of this fatal hit and run accident by an unidentified driver of a motor vehicle, while riding his bicycle at the corner of Hwy. 93 and Vatican Road, Cankton, Louisiana. The unidentified driver left the scene of the accident, giving no assistance to Christopher, and Christopher later succumbed to his fatal injuries at Lafayette General Hospital.

Christopher is the father of three daughters, ages 10, 12 and 20. His 20 year old daughter is pregnant with his first grandchild, who, sadly, will never know him. Christopher did not have any insurance policies. Christopher’s mother is also deceased, so his extended family is desperately trying to raise money through this Go Fund Me to help defray the cost of his funeral services. The family is trying to accomplish this so they can assist in giving his precious daughters closure to this shocking and terrible tragedy.
