Help Christy Jordan with her Recovery

Hi, we are Christy Jordan's siblings - Tim Jordan, Terry Jordan-Culler, Mary Kay Axford, Mike Jordan, Anne Adolph, Suzanne Krusleski and Paul Jordan. On Monday, July 26, Christy was admitted to Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas for a surgical procedure to address a brain aneurysm. Either during or after the procedure, Christy suffered four areas of stroke. Prior to this procedure, Christy had already experienced a couple of mini strokes. Christy spent three weeks in Methodist Neuro ICU. She was recently moved to the Kindred Hospital Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) unit in the med center of Houston. She remains on a respirator and is being weaned off of it and breathing quite a bit on her own now. She can control and move the right side of her body somewhat, but not so much on the left side, due to the damage experienced on the right side of her brain. She has shown a strong fighting spirit throughout this time. Her prognosis is not clear at this point. However, due to the uncertainty of her level of recovery from the strokes she has suffered, it is unclear what her future needs will entail. Although her recovery timeline is unknown, it is certain to be lengthy and difficult.

Christy has worked for many years as a Life Skills Aide at Cypress Falls High School with physically and mentally challenged children. She has given to others selflessly. She is a 1996 graduate of the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas and a 1991 graduate of St. Agnes Academy in Houston, Texas. We are asking for help with the financial challenges that Christy will be facing. She needs all of our love and prayers, and the power of many is amazing!
