Help Chuck get a double lung transplant!

Hi, my name is Shelby (Chucks bonus daughter) and I am fundraising for Chuck to help him on his journey to a second chance at life. If you know Chuck or Nancy his wife, you know that they would do anything they can to help someone in need. They have the biggest hearts and have been hit with one health struggle after the next and could really use everyone’s support right now so that Chuck can have a second chance at life ! He has passed all of the testing and has moved to the final steps of being added to the lung transplant list. As amazing as this is, it’s going to take our whole community giving back to them like they give to so many others! They were long time Steamboat residents who currently live in Buena Vista Colorado where they were born and raised. Chuck spent time as a Steamboat bus driver and was always greeting everyone with a smile, while Nancy worked at steamboat one. They have now returned to their home town of Buena Vista but once Chuck is on the list he will need to be prepared to leave home and relocate to Denver for at least three months when he gets the call that he has received a donar leaving no time for booking ahead or planning. This leaves them needing to secure a hotel or air bnb for a very lengthy time, as well as sitters for their two rescue pups. This will pose a huge financial burden when we want his number one focus to be healing and stress free as he undergoes a major life changing surgery! Since he could get the miracle life saving phone call at literally any minute we want to be sure that they have resources in place as well as funds to get an extended place to stay within a couple miles of the hospital as the surgery is risky and he will need to be near his doctor at all times for recovery.

Chuck is a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so so many and truly deserves this amazing opportunity to get his life back and gain some freedom! Right now he relies on his oxygen machine to survive and his quality of life is very poor and limited but we are believing in the miracle of this surgery and the help from the community to change Chucks life ! He is a fighter and I know a miracle is on the way!
