Help Chuck & Kimber Start Again After Palisades Fire

Hello, this is Hannah Peil.

I am organizing this fundraiser for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Chuck and Kimber Peil.

On January 7, 2024, with only about 15 minutes of notice, they were forced to evacuate their home in the Pacific Palisades area in Los Angeles. Chuck, Kimber, their two college kids, Holland and Kennedy, and their dog Bailey, were able to escape with just a few belongings, as the fast-moving wildfires continued sweeping through that area at an alarming rate.

Sadly, on January 9th, it was confirmed that their entire neighborhood was destroyed. The photo here shows all that remains of what has been their residence for over 15 years. Since this is a rental property, they will be literally starting over somewhere else, and while they do have rental insurance, it only scratches the surface of what the expenses will be to start all over again.

They are currently staying with friends and looking for a rental, along with thousands of others in LA.
