Help Chuck Mueller Aid Veterans' Mental Health
Donation protected
I'm Chuck Mueller, doing something by trying to ride my bicycle along Route 66 to raise money for veterans' mental health programs.
When I served as a pastor for 42 years and as an Army Reserve Chaplain for a dozen years, I dealt with many PTSD issues -- and sadly, lost some of the 22 vets America loses every day to suicide.
We can't do everything, but we can do something.
I'll be distributing funds I raise to two programs:
- The fine work of VFW Post 7539 supporting the social work outreach programs of Jesse Brown Veterans Medical Center in Chicago and
- Operation Wildhorse of Bull Valley, Illinois, which uses rescued wild mustangs from the West to rescue veterans.
I know these two programs will have a direct effect on the mental health challenges of our veterans -- but you can also support your local VA hospitals and service centers directly.
No matter what you support, let's get out there and remember these women and men who have secured our nation with their military service.
And let's make sure people know to call "988 " -- the national suicide crisis line number -- to talk to someone who understands and can help.
You can follow my journey on my Facebook page and Instagram.
Thanks for doing something for veterans today!
