Help Chucky with associated medical expenses
I am setting this up on behalf of Chucky and our family.
in June 2020 Chucky a Personal Trainer and bodybuilder started to experience pain in his left knee that was later diagnosed as a rare cancer with only 3 documented cases in QLD in the last 50years pseudomyogenic hemangioendothelioma. The cancer created problems by eating out the bone in his femur leaving it weak and brittle, due to the risk of amputation through breaking his leg Chucky had to stop working in June and has remained off work since. With no insurance and being self employed this has meant that our household has been managed through a single income.
there have been a number of medical expenses incurred during this time as well as the requirement to relocate to Brisbane for ongoing treatment for not only Chucky but myself as my condition has progressed and unfortunately will be possibly looking at major surgery in the not too distant future.
We were advised that radiation treatment was not successful and major surgery will be required to replace his distal femur and part of his knee. Surgery is expected to take at least 6hours and he will be in a full brace for a minimum of 6 weeks post op.
with both of us currently operating our business at less than a quarter of its previous capacity (online only) and mounting expenses we are asking for any help that you might be able to provide to us during this stressful and difficult time. We are also taking new PT clients online if you would like to support us through this means then please contact us to find out more.
all money raised will go towards the costs of surgery and assist with household expenses to enable him to recover properly without the need to rush back to work compromising the work done to save his leg from amputation.
This type of cancer is known to re occur and because of this life long follow-up will be required as well as many restrictions on training and future work endeavors.
thank you all in advance for your generosity and support our family is truly grateful.
