Chynna Bennett, a beloved wife, daughter, sister, dog mom, and 1st Lt in the US Army, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on August 1, 2022 suffering severe brain trauma and injuries to various parts of her body. She has since had to undergo several life-saving surgeries and procedures. And she still has another major surgery to undergo when the time comes to repair the left side of her cranium. Anyone who knows her parents, LaCresha and Maurice Stanton knows that they have raised 3 incredibly amazing daughters. No one could have ever expected that their family would ever be faced with such tragedy. But unfortunately, this family has had to endure more suffering than any family ever should. For that reason, I felt compelled to reach out to the public for help.
At just 24 years old, Chynna has accomplished so much... attending Morgan State College on a full scholarship, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Military Science, pledging National Society of Perishing Angels, being commissioned as an officer in the US Army in May 2020, and marrying the love of her life almost 2 years ago. Yet, there is still so much more this young lady has to offer the world! And we believe that she will some day share her amazing testimony around the world. With the progress she's made in this past 4 weeks, she is well on her way!! However, her road to recovery will be long and hard. In fact, she was transferred today to a rehabilitation center in Atlanta, Georgia that specializes in the care of people suffering from neurotrauma.
As one can expect, this accident has come with sudden and unexpected medical and temporary living expenses (for Chynna's mother, LaCresha Stanton, who flew in from Maryland as soon as she received word that her oldest daughter had been in an accident and has not left her side since). Unable to work with her daughter's life hanging in the balance, LaCresha has had to secure a hotel so she could be within reach in case of emergency forcing her to be away from her other 2 daughters, and her home. It has not been easy, but just as any mother would, LaCresha is making a major sacrifice to do what she has always done for her 3 daughters... be present and fully supportive. We are asking for the support of our community and anyone who is able to help in any way. No amount is too small. And every single cent is appreciated. Chynna, who is so loving, kind, and generous to all she meets, is now in need. Will you help?
