Help Ciera on Her Trail to Eagle Scout

Hello, my name is Ciera Striley. I am currently a Life Scout in Scouts BSA working towards achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. In order to earn the rank of Eagle it is required I plan, organize, and complete a project for a worthy organization in my community. In deciding among several project ideas, I could think of no better cause than that of supporting our local Military Veterans Museum and Education Center (www.mvmec.org). The museum is a 501c3 organization supported solely by donations and volunteers, many of whom are veterans of our armed services. The museum provides an important resource for our community to learn about, remember and honor the sacrifices made by veterans throughout our country's history.

The museum would like to develop their outdoor areas to include additional exhibits and spaces for community functions. With this goal in mind, I have chosen the task of constructing a walking path of about 750 feet in length surrounding their current retention pond area. This path will lead to future development of outdoor exhibits and recreational spaces on the property. The museum has long desired to develop this area of the property and I am honored to have the opportunity to complete this project with them. Any funds raised in excess of what is required for this project will be used by the Military Veterans Museum and Education Center for further development.
