Help Us Rebuild Cincinnati’s Oldest Baseball & Softball Academy After a Devastating Flood
For the past 25 years, Champions Baseball and Softball Academy has been more than just a training facility — it’s been a home away from home for thousands of young athletes throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. We've been grateful for the opportunity to serve our community, watching generations of kids grow not only as players but as people, through the game we all love.
Over the years, we’ve had the honor of working with athletes at every level — from little leaguers taking their first swings to those who went on to college and even the pros. Champions alumni include NFL star Travis Kelce and current Cincinnati Reds pitcher Brent Suter — both of whom once wore our uniform. But the true impact of this place has always been measured by the friendships formed, the confidence built, and the dreams pursued on and off the field.
Sadly, our facility was recently devastated by the severe Ohio River flood. Much of our equipment was destroyed, and our training space submerged in 2 feet of water. The damage is overwhelming, and it’s difficult to put into words how heartbreaking it’s been to see so many years of hard work and memories washed away.
To make matters worse, we were not covered by flood insurance — the annual costs were simply too high, and flooding in our facility area has been rare.
Now, with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits, we’re reaching out to our community — to those who’ve been a part of this journey or simply believe in the power of sports to uplift young lives. We could really use your help.
We’re humbly asking for any support you can offer — whether financial or in-kind — to help us clean up, recover, and rebuild.
Every dollar will go directly toward:
• Replacing, cleaning and restoring damaged equipment
• Supporting operations while we’re closed
• Helping our young athletes get back on the field and training as soon as possible
• Exploring relocation options to a safer, higher location to prevent future flooding
No gift is too small. Whether it’s $5, $50, or simply sharing our story, every bit means the world to us. If Champions has touched your life, or if you believe in the difference a place like this can make, we hope you’ll consider helping us through this difficult time.
