Cindi & Greg Hilfman rebuild!
On January 8th, our dear Topanga neighbors and friends Cindi and Greg Hilfman lost their guest house in the devastating Palisades fire. This structure housed their long-time renter and held countless history and memories for her and the Hilfman family. While their home itself was spared, this structure provided critical income for the Hilfmans, and housed their beloved tenant for over 20 years. Cindi is a kidney transplant recipient, and as an immunocompromised individual, can face unexpected and lofty medical bills. The immense smoke and pollution in the air has currently left Cindi sick with pneumonia, and Greg focused on caring for her as a priority. We’d like to raise funds to ease the repairing process for our wonderful friends, anything helps!
Cindi and Greg are pillars in our tight-knit Topanga community, always there for others and ever-ready to support those in need. Cindi’s prolific work as a physical therapist and a healer for so many in the canyon and greater Los Angeles area is well known and revered, and her thoughtfulness for those around her knows no bounds. Her numerous health complications over the years have been unimaginable trials for even the strongest person, yet she continues to persevere and serve others with dedication and compassion. Greg is always there to lend a helping hand. A lifelong musician and a local handy-man, his obliging spirit and love for our little town has driven his commendable work on facilitating the Colina Road Association, a non-county maintained street that relies on neighborhood funding and collective maintenance. The Hilfmans are true Topangans, epitomize what it is to be empathetic and altruistic, and the greatest friends we could ask for. Let’s help them and their tenant rebuild!
