Three months ago, we brought our beloved mother to the hospital due to concerns about her inability to eat. It became evident that something was amiss, though we were uncertain of the exact cause. Unfortunately, she was diagnosed with an advanced and highly aggressive form of ovarian cancer, specifically stage 3c. This news left us devastated and disoriented as we grappled to comprehend the information we were given.

However, we rallied together as a family, determined to face this challenge head-on. Following several weeks of hospitalization and extensive medical care, a glimmer of hope emerged. Our mother, after enduring a prolonged period without being able to eat, finally took her first bite. It was a small victory, but it fueled her determination to fight against this relentless cancer.

Despite the obstacles she faced, our mother exhibited unwavering strength and resilience. She underwent two surgeries, including the installation of a colostomy bag, two rounds of chemotherapy, and multiple hospitalizations, all of which demonstrate her unwavering commitment to overcoming this disease. Unfortunately, due to a growing infection, she was unable to proceed with further chemotherapy. This setback only served to highlight the immense effort she has put into her battle against cancer. Currently, our mother is in a critical stage of her battle against ovarian cancer. She is fighting to regain her strength, overcome nutritional challenges, and heal from an infection. These obstacles are hindering her ability to continue the fight against this devastating disease.

In this difficult journey, Scott, Cindy's husband and our stepfather, has been a constant source of support and care. He has been by her side every day, providing the full-time care that she needs. We are incredibly fortunate that his job has allowed him to be there for her during this time.

However, the financial burden of the hospital bills has added additional stress to an already challenging situation. We are reaching out for assistance to alleviate this burden, allowing Scott and Cindy to focus solely on fighting this battle and making the most of the time we all have together.
