Help Cindy Fight Brain Cancer
Donation protected
Dear family, friends, members of the community... We are reaching out today to fund raise for one of the most selfless, caring and warm-heartened women. Cindy was first diagnosed with melanoma when she was 35 years old. With immunotherapy she won her first fight with melanoma cancer. Cindy has since been careful with her health, has constantly avoided any activities that would harm her, even joining weight watchers to make sure she was eating the healthiest of foods. She didn't know it then, but her fight was far from over.
A few weeks ago, Cindy started loosing her vision. She slowly started finding it difficult to remember things and with one thing after another, she was rushed into the emergency room to find that 33 cancerous tumors were growing in her brain and lungs. The doctors are attempting to do everything they possibly can, from super pills, to chemo, cyber knifes, gamma rays, and everything imaginable that her basic insurance covers.
Cindy was a single mother raising three boys for a long time. When her sons were younger, she was the kind of mother every child wished they had- working full time, volunteering, going to every game, being involved in every sport her son's played and showing them unconditional love despite never having much. Her life has been tumultuous to say the least, with cancer, a divorce, multiple deaths in her family, and so much more- she has stood the test of time and been a pillar of strength for so many people.
But her life has also been good in the sweetest ways. She found love with Bob Gulling, falling madly and deeply in love with a man who sees her as his whole world. Through the good days and bad days, he has stood by her side and loved her fully. She has two beautiful daughter-in-laws who have come with their own families to merge into one very mixed very diverse family. When her second son, Nick, fell in love with Inga Dacic they made two beautiful grand children- who absolutely love their Grandmama Cindy. Despite all the things going on, including money problems, these boys have never once questioned the love their grandma has for them. She has spent every spare dollar to ensure that they remember their grandma.
Cindy is her family's main income source. While Bob works tirelessly, her job has paid for their mortgage, insurance and majority of their other bills. Since being diagnosed last month, Cindy has not been able to work and they have had to face an incredible amount of fear that they will lose their house. As of right now, they owe $300,000. We hope that any fundraiser will contribute to keeping their house of twenty years and helping to pay for the overwhelming medical bills.
We truly thank anyone who has just a few dollars to spare for a woman so deserving.
