Help Citadel Continue Their Impactful Work

The Citadel Skateboarding Foundation is a 501-(c)(3) nonprofit organization in need of your support to Save our Van. Utilized for every aspect of our programming, the Citadel Van is an extremely important part of our organization.
From taking kids on skateboarding and snowboarding trips to providing all-inclusive After School Sessions and hosting skate events all over the DMV - the Citadel Van has been driven thousands of miles and created thousands of smiles.
Before our Summer Skate Camp began in 2024, we received unfortunate news about our van. The A/C system malfunctioned which led to the discovery of several issues we needed to immediately address. We could not invite campers in the van for the summer without making all of these repairs first.
While still actively making monthly payments on the van, the A/C repairs cost us over $2,300, which we had to borrow from family and personal credit cards to pay for. On top of these repairs, we also learned the water pump and transmission were also failing, estimated at $8,000 to repair.
We were lucky enough to make it through the summer, but unfortunately, at this point, all programming must be suspended on an indefinite hiatus as we feel it is unsafe to have passengers in the van until the necessary repairs have been completed.
This decision was extra difficult for us to make as we were just about to begin our 2025 Winter Snow Trips program.
Help us Save our Van so Citadel can continue providing life-impacting programs and popular annual events for the community.
