Help Claire After Starbucks Unjustly Fired Her

Hi everyone! I’m sure many of you are aware of the partner safety issue at the Willow Lawn Starbucks. While our union has been fighting hard to get any kind of acknowledgment of management’s wrong-doing, Claire* is still facing the consequences and struggling to make ends meet after her unjust termination. The purpose of this fundraiser is to supplement the backpay that Starbucks owes her.

On November 11th, Claire was fired from her job at Starbucks, a little over a week after reporting her sexual assault. While the supervisor who assaulted her got to keep his job for five more months (including a two week excused absence while he served time in jail for the assault), Claire was unjustly fired for time and attendance, due to missing shifts after the SA to avoid working with the supervisor who assaulted her.

Claire loved her job at Starbucks very much, it was the first one she ever had. She says her coworkers were like family and she is hoping to one day be offered her job back with backpay. While this is something that we are working towards, Claire needs your support in the meantime to help her with paying bills and buying food.
