Help Claire Rousay Get Back On Her Feet

Donation protected
This week Claire Rousay’s house in San Antonio was robbed and violated. The perpetrators took or destroyed everything inside - her instruments, recording gear, clothes, furniture, photos, records, books. Gone, broken, or violated. We do not want to get into specifics out of respect for her privacy, but needless to say it’s been a harrowing experience. The gear alone has been appraised at being worth $20k - guitars, drums, interfaces, microphones, and more. Claire is a full-time musician and needs to replace some of her gear to get back on her feet - with this GoFundMe, we are seeking to replace the bare minimum she needs to finish the commissions and work she has in the next two weeks. Any additional funds will be used to replace the other pieces of gear she lost.

This is the house where Claire wrote and recorded A Softer Focus, made the video for “A Kind of Promise,” and recorded her remote collaboration for Rewire Festival. If you’ve encountered this work, you know how special and important this home was to Claire.

We ask for respectful, considerate discretion in regards to inquiring on the particulars of this event - it is Claire’s story and experience, and it is up to her to air it out if/when she chooses to do so. For the time being, we’d appreciate the support and privacy.
