Help Clara & Jeremy Rebuild From the Eaton Fire

Hi,

My name is Alice and I'm starting this fundraiser for my my sister, Clara, and brother-in-law, Jeremy. Like many others in Los Angeles right now, they lost their Altadena home to the Eaton fire. They fled the fire with almost nothing---just their computers, cats, and a few clothes---but their home was completely incinerated. Now, they're left to navigate the confusion of how to rebuild their lives after losing almost everything.

Although they were fortunate to be able to evacuate to my mom's house (and thank God their two cats are safe too), there's a lot that's unknown right now. My brother-in-law works in animation and lost quite a bit of equipment and many treasured possessions to the fire. Understandably, they are both in shock and grieving heavily.

I don't know what else to do, so I'm starting this with an arbitrary goal just to give them a little bit of breathing room as they figure out next steps. It will be impossible to measure how much they've lost until more time has passed (their insurance is completely unreachable right now due to call volume), but I'm hoping this will help a little bit in the meantime as work has to be halted.
