Help Clonoe O'Rahilly's GAC finish their pitch

Can you help Clonoe O'Rahilly's GAC finish their new football pitch?

Clonoe O’Rahillys GAC was founded in 1916. For 107 years we have been playing and training on a single pitch at our much beloved O'Rahilly Park in Clonoe, Co Tyrone.

Today our club has 28 teams fighting for the use of one single pitch.

As large grant aid and support from local government support for large capital development, seems almost non-existent. we had no choice but to fundraise relentlessly for many years.

12 Years ago we bought an additional 11 Acres of ground with a vision to realise additional Football playing capacity. This additional ground has been totally paid for over the last 10 years, through the hard work of our members.

We are now on the journey to build our new football field.

The total cost of this new pitch is just over £900,000.

We had raised and additional £400,000 through fundraising and we as a Club are committed to continue to work extremely hard with our dedicated members and local community to achieve this much needed additional playing capacity.

Today, Clonoe as a parish and community has grown into a small Village with 100's more houses in the area.
Clonoe O'Rahillys have Youth, Ladies and Men’s Teams fielding in all age groups.
Indeed this year, our Under-Age Girls at U16 level fielded two teams in the league and championship, such was the demand for football.
Our U16 and U18 Boys, also fielded two teams each in these age groups.
The interest and demand for Gaelic Football in Clonoe is at an all time high.
In 2023 we fielded a total of 28 teams, at all levels, playing competitive football.

Ladies and men are competing in all grades from U6 to Senior level.

Long may this continue.

The works started on time, however the project has not come without its challenges.

The unprecedented wet year and necessary additional ground works encountered, has seen our budget grow again.

This ultimately has left us in a position where some items of our proposed works will take longer to complete.

We are asking for your help to raise £50,000.

We intend to hold various other fundraising events in the coming months which we hope can bring in an additional £50,000.

These amounts combined will complete our first phase and have our new pitch ready to play on in late 2024.

The desire and need for this new pitch has seen our members and local community go over and above to help us out financially.

Our overall project has an additional 2 phases and will take many years to complete.

For now our main focus is getting our new pitch complete and ready by the end of 2024.

With your support the men, women and children in Clonoe O'Rahilly's GAC will be using this fantastic new pitch a lot sooner.

107 years ago our club was born out of hard work, resilience and determination.

It is through this determination that we now ask the GAA community around the world to help us out.

All Monies received will go directly to the development of our much required development field.
