Help Clover stay with us while we PCS

UPDATE 8/20:

We found a shipper who gave us a quote of $5,200, this is much less than $7,000, but still very unaffordable for us right now. Please consider donating so we can bring Clover with us! It is unfathomable for us to leave him behind, so please help us avoid the worst case scenario!

We received our official travel date of Sept 15th. We also learned that our only option is to use a pet shipper, and the lowest quote received so far has been $7,000. This is far more than we have anticipated. We have found a company that does grants, and have applied but we’re still waiting to hear if we have been accepted. We were also able to acquire a used custom crate for $300. If we cannot get funds/grants to cover the costs of a pet shipper, we will not be able to bring him with us! Please help us stay together!

Hi, my name is Teryn and my husband and I found out we are moving to Okinawa, Japan by Oct 1, 2023 as our first duty station in the Air Force. We have an 8 month old great pyrenees puppy. While the military pays for moving expenses for the service member and their dependents, they DO NOT pay for the moving expenses for pets. This leaves us to pay everything out of pocket for Clover, and since it is our very first duty station, we have not had ample time to save up.

Because of Clover’s size, we need a very specific airline approved crate (PP100) and it is very expensive. On top of that, we have to pay for him to fly. Assuming he does not gain much more weight before we leave, $1,300 would cover these costs.

If he gains too much weight, he will exceed the weight limit to fly on the military plane, and we will have to resort to a pet shipper. Quoted costs have ranged from $7,000-$11,000.

If you are able, we would greatly appreciate any donation to help bring our sweet Clover with us as he is a part of our family ❤️ We would also appreciate any prayers for God’s providence in bringing him over with us!
