"It is with great sadness in my heart that I need to inform you that coach Alex passed away last night. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Coach Alex made a tremendous impact on his students' lives and those memories will always be with them.

Coach Alex's final wish was to be buried in his home country Ukraine. His family needs financial help to transport him to Ukraine for burial. It will cost between $15,000 to $20,000, money that his family does not have. Please consider making a donation to help get coach Alex home. Any amount will help. Alex Krasulya has been a gymnastics coach for over 30 years. Our children are very fortunate to have him as their coach for the past several years and they are thriving under his care and guidance. Coach Alex deeply cares about every one of his students and it is now our turn to rally around him as he prepares to battle cancer.

Last week, during a week long stay at the hospital, coach Alex was diagnosed with stage IV liver cancer that has metastasized throughout his body. He is so dedicated to his students that he continues to coach them even though he is not feeling well and is in constant pain.

Alex is facing aggressive treatments that will bring large medical expenses. We, the parents of his students, created this campaign to raise funds to cover his medical expenses, loss of income as he will not be able to work during treatment, and to help his family during this difficult time.

Please help our beloved coach Alex beat cancer!!!!
